The Italian general elections of 1929 were held on March 24, 1929. This is actually the first election in Italy with (gradual) women's suffrage[1], although to a parliamentary reform enacted in 1928 by the Chamber of Deputies and Senate, elections were to be held as a simple referendum, with the Grand Council of the National Fascist Party, now an official state organ, allowed to compose a single party list to be either approved or rejected by the voters.

A total of 9,460,737 Italians were eligible to vote, with a number of 8,661,820 registered as having visited the ballots, giving an official turnout of 91,5 %. Vote fraud and intimidation was likely to be practiced.
